Founded in Los Angeles by Michael S. Poles, MPGroup began in 1962 as a building construction, inspection and consulting firm which has since developed into a collaboration of architects, engineers, contractors and other construction technical experts.

We specialize in Construction related Forensic Expert Witness, Mediation, Forensic and GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHY services for the legal, insurance and business communities.  Throughout the years we have designed and built a wide variety of projects for the private and public sectors.

Mediation

Michael S. Poles trained at the Institute For Mediation Studies and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law and the California Academy of Mediation Professionals in concert with the Los Angeles County Superior Court Program.  He has served as a member of the Court ADR Panel of Mediators with the Los Angeles County Superior Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Program and provides private mediation services.

As a General Building Contractor, Construction Manager and a Construction Inspector, Mr. Poles brings more than 45 years of construction experience and knowledge of complex and highly technical issues to the mediation process with the ability to get right to the heart of the dispute and reach a successful resolution.  

Construction Job Site Dispute Resolution

Disputes can often be readily resolved by timely and skillful mediation at the project site before they get out of control.  When disagreements erupt on the job site between the General Contractor and/or Subcontractors, they can quickly turn into full-blown disputes that can result in costly schedule delays, defective work or even shut down the project itself.  This can result in expensive and time consuming litigation between the disputing parties, which can be avoided by early intervention.

Forensic and General Photography

Forensic Photography for Architects, Attorneys, Corporations, Developers, Contractors and Insurance Companies who require HIGH-RESOLUTION and MICRO-PHOTOGRAPHY for the preservation and documentation of evidence for use in litigation as DEMONSTRATIVE EVIDENCE EXHIBITS. 

Our high resolution digital cameras, lenses and professional studio lighting equipment produce stunningly detailed color reproductions of the existing conditions at the location or property involved in litigation. Micro-photography is used to enlarge and enhance minute details. Clients receive high-resolution digital photographic files in both JPEG-Fine and RAW photo file formats on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM. Images are also provided in “Print-Quality” Adobe Acrobat ™ format containing all images in either or both 5x7 inch or 8x10 inch formats. Photographic prints can also be provided ranging in size from 4x6 inch up to 17x22 inch, produced in-house.

We can provide this quality service either prior to or after designation as your expert witness for your evaluation concomitant to the date of an incident or discovery of defects and to preserve evidence.
